Can I open an account online/ are you paperless? (Yes)YES! We have been 100% paperless for a few years now, and we can open accounts directly online. Can I get a consultation before I move? (Yes)Yes! We provid a complimentary consultation to discuss your goals and needs to ensure we are as good a fit for you, as you need to be for us.

How much do I have to invest?There is no account minimum. Braeheid has a small account solution that gives you access to a full portfolio within a pooled fund. Accounts under $35,000 may be subject to a small account admin fee.

How many accounts can I have? (It's all in the family.)Accounts are limited to the same household address (plus Corporate Accounts for business owners, as well as Family Trusts) where the combined family accounts can receive a consolidated family report, as well as the total net invested for a family can be applied towards lower annual fees.

Is my investment account structure indepedent, secure & online?(Yes)"1) The system is secure and compliant for online access. 2) Your invstment accounts are protected with depositors insurance from the CIPF (Canadian Investor Protection Fund). 3) Cash can only be invested, or transfered driectly to and from your bank account into the 4) Independent Custodian for processing, clearing and reporting of all your account activity and tax receipts (Currently Fidelity Clearing Canada) This independent account structure is serves and protects, you the client.

What account types are provided? (All)All account types offered include: RRSP, RESP, TFSA, Cash/Non-registered RIF, LIF, ITF Corporate Accounts, Estate and Family Trusts All accounts are offered through an independent custodian which secures, controls, reports and monitors your account, activities and taxes.

How do I open an account? (It's instant! Call or click!)Account opening is an easy online process. What is the benefit of having an account with you over someone else?Firstly, these accounts are all in "client name"..which means they are NOT the asset of a brokerage firm, which can be frozen if the brokerage goes insolvent. These accounts are like a bank account in your name, but instead are held at a Custodian and held in your name which ensures the assets are in your ulimate control and protected.

Do I qualify for an account?If you are new to investing (18+), near retirment or in retirement, we now offer personal strategies and levels of engagement for all account sizes and stages of life. Other considerations: If you need 100% of the cash within a few years (for a full withdrawal) you are encouraged to use a savings account or GIC from your local bank. We are not a broker: Your accounts will be traded by professional discretionary portfolio managers who MUST trade your account based on your risk profile...and as such they do NOT call you for permission, as their license covers off the need (liability) for a call...and let's face it, they know more about the trade strategies and market conditions than most ... as they should! This proactive expert investment management of your accounts allow you to 'set it and forget it' - true peace of mind!

NO COMMISSIONS?...then what are your FEES?We are proud to be able to offer our clients very competitive rates: ZERO commissions ZERO trading costs ZERO account fees Fees are based on the size of your total house hold value. They are calculated as a percentage of your monthly average and charged at the end of each month and clearly documented on your monthly statement. Fees: Typically start "all in" at 1.9% The higher your household total, the lower your rate. Full disclosure and full transparency: As your accounts are in your name and you are NOT part of a pool, there are no hidden "management of marketing" costs buried in the fine print. There is no fine print.

Are your fees TAX DEDUCTIBLE? (Yes)As your accounts are professionally managed, the fees associated to non-registered accounts are currently permitted to be deducted when filing your Professional Coporate or personal tax returns.

What are the TRADING COSTS for my accounts? (ZERO)ZERO trading costs. ZERO commissions. The monthly service fee (less then 1.9% annually) includes ALL costs for trading, reviews, newsletters, 24X7 monitoring, quartlerly strategy and active (proactive) management of your account...;and there are NEVER commissions for trades. We believe we need to trade your account as little, or as often as necessary to work on behalf of your best interests, period. No one here wants investment managers incentivised by commissions.

What is your service guarantee?Am I guaranteed that you will manage my account as well as your "top" clients? YES. Our job and fiducary obligation is to manage your account, as if you were our only client. How we do that is thanks to technology and our ability to role out the trades relative to all acounts, at the SAME TIME. Not only does that mean that all accounts get the same advice and trades at the SAME time, it also means that we can do so more efficiently, passing these savings directly to you...via ZERO TRADING COSTS.

Can I close my account at any time without PENALTIES? (Yes)You are in complete control...you can ask us to liquidate, or you can transfer your account out in cash or in-kind (which means the current holdings transfer to your new manager). There are no "penalty fees or commissions"...just the prorated management fee associated to the number of days within the month that the assets were under our service. This is an institutional process, that is monitored, tracked and safe.

Do you offer financial planning? (Yes)Our initial financial plan for you and your family is included for all accounts. The $1500 fee for this service is WAIVED if your assets are with us. Speak to your advisor for details. Additonal services are also available depending on your account size and life stage, as all will have specific needs, from early investing, to new families and home ownership, to estate planning...and we are here to help at every step along the way.

How do I know how you are managing my account? (24x7 access)Firstly, you have online access to your account 24X7 and our activity is posted daily. Secondly - all clients who need the same trade, get the same trade AT THE SAME TIME. Thanks to technology, we don't have to sort from largest client to the smallest and work our way down...YOU get the same and the best service we can offer. You can also always call your advisor to ask questions. We also provide MANY newsletters and portfolio updates, so that you understand how we see the market, and how we manage risk and opportunities across the board, on your behalf.

What happens if I have an issue: how do I contact someone?First and primary contact is always to your personal wealth services advisor or by email. Do you offer training on how to use the online portal? (Yes)We have remote access tools whereby we can personally assist you over the phone and also by computer with your permission for temporary READ ONLY access to your screen. This is safe, conveneint and does not require in-home visits. The portal is well designed and intuitive once you use it once or twice, but we are always here to help you...we are just a phone call away!!

Do I have to be a certain age to have an account?To open an account yourself, you have to be 18 or older, have an email address and a social insurance number (Canada). Child accounts can be opened by a parent (In Trust For). RESP accounts are under the parents names.

Can I fund this account myself? (securely connect to your bank online)You can fund the account yourself from the comfort of our online portal. After you have opened an account, you can either link your bank account to your personal investment account, transfer in the funds...and we take care of the rest! You can also request that holdings within a current investment account be transfered over to your new persoanal investment account. *NOTE: you may be charged fees from your current broker or institution or mutual fund...however we are here to help save on potential trading costs, we suggest speaking with one of our advisors. You can have peace of mind knowing that WE NEVER penalize you/charge you a penalty for any holding disposition...you are always, market liquid. Can I link my bank account? (Yes)Once you open an account, you can safely and securely link your bank account directly to your investment account - within minutes you can then transfer funds to your investment account. When you withdrawal funds, they will be sent to your connected bank account of choice!

How do I open an account?You can open an account online or by contacting Braeheid to arrange for an in-person meeting, telephone meeting or video conference meeting (e.g. Zoom). We're here to help you. During COVID-19, remote assistance is recommended. Alternatively, in-person meetings must be in an outdoor setting, where all parties are socially distanced and masks are worn.
